RIM Could Launch BlackBerry 7.0 Devices By End Of 2011

Well, we have seen reports that RIM‘s new lineup of Blackberry devices, namely Monaco, Dakota(Montana), Apollo and Torch 2, are close to launch this year.
While they are likely to run Blackberry 6.x, latest leaked slide purporting to be RIM’s BlackBerry 2011 Software Roadmap, has something more to say.
Blackberry 7.0, the next iteration of the mobile OS from RIM, will be ready (for unveiling) during the September to November 2011 timeframe.
That gives us a shot… the devices (be it smartphones or tablets) running it could launch (unveiling) by the end of the year or early next year.
What’s really tricky in here is, if the Blackberry 7.0 is going to be an updated version of QNX, the operating system that currently powers the Blackberry PlayBook or even exciting, an actual update of Blackberry 6.0.
In the mean time, we also see updates for the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS), App World and Blackberry Protect, among others, coming up later in the year.
We have also heard that RIM is also preparing to launch some cheaper smartphones (low-mid range), but we don’t know when. It could all be this year. Lets wait and see.
