PhatPad update brings better file management, more

The iPad 2 has users brimming with delight, and the folks behind the note-taking app PhatPad are joining in on the joy with their latest release. Not only has the developer released a new version of its popular productivity app that improves the functionality and organizational features, but it’s also lowered the price tag.
Version 1.2 comes with an improved folder feature that allows for better organization of your notes and drawings. It also works with Dropbox to maintain your folder order after you sync and allows you to search through your files for specific characters and words. And using the new UI for managing your documents, you can create, rename, and delete files and folders, as well as rearranging them via drag-and-drop.
PhatPad also features a new auto-insert recognition option for the Handwriting feature, background playback and recording for voice notes, and a remote access password for file sharing.
The newest version is available on the app store at a reduced price of $5 until March 31, when it goes back to its original price of $8. PhatPad requires an iPad running iOS 4.2 or later.
